Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Bürki confirmed after BVB’s 1-0 win against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday, that he intends to pen a new deal.
“I hope that we can find a date next week to seal the deal,” the 29-year-old said, adding: “I feel very comfortable at Dortmund. I went through a lot in all those years at BVB and I always felt the love of the club throughout.”
The Swiss goalie joined the Black and Yellows from SC Freiburg in 2015. His current deal is set to expire in 2021. According to reports, Bürki will sign at least a two-year extension.
Zorc: “I’m very happy”
Sporting director Micheal Zorc also confirmed the agreement: “We have reached a final agreement and will sign a new contract in the coming days. I’m very happy that Roman will be with our club for additional years.”
