Out are:
❌ Marco Reus (muscular problems)
❌ Mats Hummels (gastritis)
❌ Marcel Schmelzer (backlog)
❌ Roman Bürki (flu) pic.twitter.com/UqaZ4lHnzW
The flu is going round in Dortmund. After Mario Götze, Marco Reus and goalkeeper Roman Bürki had to sit out matches in the past weeks with a cold, Lucien Favre made news by banning handshakes in order to prevent the virus from further spreading.
Unsuccessfully, however, as the Black and Yellows will have to make do without Mats Hummels, who is suffering from gastritis and goalkeeper Roman Bürki, who is still nursing his flu. Marco Reus, who has been prolific against his former club since joining BVB, will also be sidelined due to muscular problems.
Meanwhile, left-back Marcel Schmelzer is yet to fully recover from a groin injury. It’s not clear whether all four players will be able to recover ahead of Saturday’s match against fourth-place VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.
